Car took a dump. Need immediate assistance.

Just got my TII swap done and took it over to the car wash today. Yesterday she drove just fine all day. But today I got about half a mile away from the carwash and I was at WOT and the car started loosing power untill she just stopped. All most like I ran out of gas. Got her to start but she would only idle at 200 rpms and the engine looked like it was ready to jump out of the engine compartment. When I tried to give her gas she just died. So I left her there and then came back later and got her to start and idle around 800 but really rough! So I decided to drive her home while she was running. Guttless guttless gutless. I can here the turbo try to spool up but won't, sounds like the intake is trying to suck in massive air. Got her home and check for any leaks in the intake or any vacuum leaks at all with some carb cleaner but I couldn't find anything wrong. Ideas anyone.

What kinda Rs and boost level when it lost power?

Compression test it and then go from there.

Thats a problem right there, I do not have a boost gauge......I know i know, not smart, I thought maybe my tps was going out cause I have been having a idle problem so I checked that and I got : Narrow range Closed-1.64 Full throttle-4.47
Full range Closed-1.15 Full throttle-3.74

So my idle is high but looks like my TPS is good, compression is 115 front, 115 rear

Scratch that, how much does it generally cost for a rebiuld, Compression is 45 in the rear and 85 in front, lost a seal in the rear definately engine is fucked! I don't know how though, the compression was 115 front and rear just a week ago and I have only been driving the car for a day.

check the piping from afm to turbo might be loose or caracked and was it before or after you washed it if after you might have got the engine wet and its missing

No boost gauge..are you running an aftermarket exhaust? Is the wastegate ported?

You probably overboosted, and detonated like hell.

I still have my S5 N/A engine, will the flywheel off my TII engine fit on my N/A engine. This way I can just bolt my N/A engine up to my TII tranny and be able to drive my car untill I can get the engine rebiult.

Explain to me what a street port is. Anyone have an Idea why I blew the seals in only 30 miles (at least) of driving. Everything is stock. The only thing I didn't change was the pressure sensor. I was still running the N/A pressure sensor and I did take the car into high rpms a few times.

If everything is stock I don't think you can overboost. Unless you have a FCD.

FCD...... fuel cut defenser? My N374 is supposed to have the knight sport chip which is supposably supposed to act like a fuel cut defenser according to the guy who sold it to me. I thought fuel cut was a bad thing.

a streetport is where you open up the intake and exhaust ports to allow more flow.

did you rebuild the T2 yourself? how much did you get into the high rpms?

yes fuel cut is a bad thing. but if you are running a turbo with no guage and without a fuel cut then you could over boost. dont quote me on that though.

Fuel cut is a bad thing, but its also a safety feature. When you hit fuel cut (5.5 PSI) the ecu shuts off fuel to the rear rotor I believe, thus cutting your boost down to safe levels. The FCD tricks the ECU to think you're running less boost, therefore the ECU will never trigger fuel cut. If you're running high boost with a recent rebuild, that's not a good idea.

So for future referance I should probably get a boost controller to manage my boost and keep it from boosting to high untill it is safe to say the engine can handle it.

The engine wasn't a rebiuld it is a jdm and supposedly only had 25 - 30 K on it. The compression was 115 front and rear so obviously I did something wrong right. What a waiste

No. A boost controller only turns boost up. What you need is a boost guage to watch, and a ported wastegate to let some exhaust flow out.
