my car ('89 TII) has been broken for a while now... with a problem I have yet to be able to diagnose. everytime I go like 1/3 throttle if starts jerkying and backfiring and if I go above that nothing happens at all... I tested and calibrated my tps, and it looked fine to me. also lately when I've been driving around for more than a couple minutes, my car will get thrown into limp mode, and in order to get home, I have to pull over and reset my ecu. I thought it either might be my injectors, or maybe my OMP was being retarded. so I took my car apart, replaced my injectors and omp and took off my airpump and acv while I was at it. when I put it back together it was still doing the same thing... but after like a minute a driving I was going up a hill and I hit the mark where it usually starts to start to jerk, and my car just shut off. the idiot lights came on and the rpms just dropped strait to 0... and now my car won't start... it just cranks.

did my ECU just eat it?

I'm about ready just to save up for a couple months and get a microtech... cause the stock ecu is just being retarded.

u shoulda check the engine codes first......going into limp mode usually means u shouldnt drive the car......

 

I wasn't driving the car, they were just test drives to see if things I did fixed it. and I tried to check error codes, but the check engine light didn't even come on. (not even for the little bit in the beginning)

 

speaking of the check engine light.....for as long as i have owned my car...not once have i ever seen the "check engine" light come on.......i mean when i first bought the car the idiot lights would come on when i turn it to the acc notch...now it doesnt even work.....

 

I ment that it didn't come on when I tried to check the error codes...
