car starts with pushing the clutch

i kno theres a sensor on the clutch padal..but im not sure if thats the case..i wanna kno before i swap that sensor..

lemme get this straight...you push the clutch pedal in and the car starts?

what's the key position when you do it?

Actually, that isn't true until '87. If his car is an '86, it doesn't have a clutch switch.

He has a '90, although I can vouch for Mazda not treating '86 owner's like dumbasses.

A previous owner might have bypasses the interlock switch.
