car starts revs to 4k then dies

so i rebuilt a motor for my friend a s5 na with a pineapple street ive done other porting before even mine. but anywho i got it all together turned it over an the compression sounded very equal an strong i was amazed for it just being rebuilt. but i looked over all the vac lines followed the diagram got that all squared away. checked all the injector wires made sure they were right using the colors of the wire from the factory service manual.

but put a little two cycle in turn it over by the key an vroom started right up but it was odd it started an reved to 4000 if you keep ur foot on it you can hold it there then if you lett off a little u can get it to 2000 but if you let off it just dies an there's no way to save it. I dont know what it is i went over everything took the full manifold off checked to see if there was anyhting to cause leaking or any major vaccum leaks. It still has emissions but no air pump, all the major holes are plug off from the air pump. At first i thought well maybe its the cold start but theres no pure antifreeze in the cold start pump so im think no on that. i found that the tps the one for light throttle was springy. Just push it an it would just stay. I took it off an was like hum shook it an then al ofa sudden it was springy agian so im super confused about that maybe the spring messed up or something. but if you have any idea shoot them my way anything helps

i got a thread going about my s5 turbo...it goes to 3k and dies. i changed the AFM with 4 others and 3 TPS and it does the same thing. it has no vac leaks either so im gonna swap the harness to see if maybe theres something in the harness thats shorted or broken. i even hot wired the fuel pump and it does the same thing

psychotic, gabs issue is different from yours his can keep running with the gas pedal yours cannot.

Gabs, have you checked the idle adjustment on your BAC? I would open that pupy right up for a fresh rebuild (mine would not iddle by its self for about 20 minutes of running)

If that does not help to keep it running it may be a different issue all together.
