Car runs rough and wont idle but has compsression

Help me. So yestarday i was coming home and when i was on the expressway i could tell it started not to want to accelerate but was still goin 60 easy. But when i get off the expressway it wont accelerate. It just blurps alittle and starts rolling but wont speed up. So i get it home thinking the eninge is blown but all faces on both rotors still have decent compression. It wont idle on its own now and sounds alittle weird. No smoke either. It will stay running if i keep it above 1100. All vacuum lines replaced not too long ago too. It doesnt feel like a vaccum leak either. Any one have any ideas.

Sounds like some sort of vaccum leak to me. At least that is what mine did when I first dropped in the engine.

Had a leak from the hose that went to the brake booster. Car would start up and sounded ok but would not idle for anything.

Other than that I would say start simple and go from there. Check connections, fuel, spark all those fun things.

I thought and still think its some kind of fuel problem, becuase it doesnt sound like it did. But could it be the exhaust? Becuase it is pretty rough.

Perhaps it's a clogged cat ora fuel delivery problem (pump/filter). How are your plugs?

well, if you've detereminded its not a vac. leak then i would check your tps and adjust if necessary. if that checks out then go to your fuel and spark.

Ok well i dont still dont know whats the problem. The thing that really scared me is when it gets down to like under 1000 rpm when it is dying out the engine shakes pretty hard. But i will check the spark and fuel filter. Also i thought i saw a little smoke come from the middle of the exhaust. Argghh so frusating. Im pretty sure it isnt a vac leak. but i hope to check everything else before i have to take the intake manifold off to check everything.

Maybe check your AFM, I know one that is loose or unplugged will cause similar behavior.

Ok well the uim is off right now as to see if many the vac lines i replaced no more than two months ago got loosed or something, maybe the upper to lower but that gasket was replaced two months ago and still looks strong. But if anyone has anything for me to try right now let me know.
