If it's idling high, there is a problem.

Did you do anything to the thermowax system? Sounds like the coolant line might not be connected to the cold start thermowax...Is the idle exactly 1500 RPM?

Also if it's running rich there is a problem. Is the engine coolant temp sensor connected? Any black smoke?

i ported and pollished the TB so i believe i got rid of the thermowax system. and i got the idol down to about 100 rpm which is really rough, but again this motor only has 100 miles on it. no black smoke and the engine coolent temp sensor is the one under the oil pressure sender right?

Is it hard to start at all? Sounds like a leaky injector causing the rich situation.

Because even idling at 3000rpm, you shouldn't burn 3/4 of a tank in 90miles.

Are there any fuel leaks?
