Car runs like sh*t.

ok ive been battling my car for the last 2 weeks. it all started when i removed the ACV valve. and put on a block off plate.
Since then it drives normal when cold until i shut it off, then when i jump back in it starts to cut out at random rpms, and will get to the point where i can give it gas and it keeps it cut until i let off. it will drive normal sometimes after it runs like ****. i checked the plate and the sealer and re did it, so it cant be leaking there. the only two hoses that are unhooked are the split one that went from the acv to the mainifold, which i capped off, and the big rubber hose from the exhaust pipe.
i dont think its a vac leak, but thats what everyone keeps telling me.

also can i buy silicone hoseing to redo all my vac lines just to make sure ones not leaking?

some one help me and my car, before i go postal on it!!!!(j/k)

Well, if your POSITIVE the ACV isn't leaking (it tends to leak in the upper left-hand corner..)..

What two lines are you talking about? Split one? Exhaust pipe? Can you be more detailed? Are either of these VACUUM hoses? You don't mention capping off this "exhaust pipe" hose.

If its random as you describe, check your spark plugs + wires..coils..etc. I don't really see a vacuum leak causing you to "randomly" kill the car. Normally a vacuum leak will just cause an idle-hunt.

Things you should always check: Spark, fuel, COMPRESSION, and air. (A boost gauge (vacuum) on an NA is a good thing to have, too.

yeah it idles fine, and it runs fine when its cold. could it be the timing? and the two lines went to the stock exhaust to the main cat, one splits under where the ACV valve was, probly for back pressure to activate the 5th and 6th ports, and the other is much larger, like 5/8th's and goes to the back side of the engine.
