Hey my car ran bad after i put it in (used engine wid 66,000 miles) so i decide it prob waz a vacuum leak so to slove that i installed block off plates and got rid of all the emissions stuff.... so i start it and it idles better now but still bavckfires alot What could the prob be (has a straight ehxaust wid a gleass pack...

Try a TPS check/adjustment first...

How's the timing?

 

Well the ACV is to help prevent backfires... so if you removed it... well

And why have you not checked for a vac leak with some spray starting fluid??? (you spray it around the intake, and when it finds leaks in the intake system, the RPMs go up).
