i wsa just wondering. is it possible that i add tII parts one at a time or something, whatever would allow my car to run, and ill gradually build up until i finally get the 13bt then i can just swap it in that sumb*tch. is that possible or do should i just get a tII tranny and then get the rest of the stuff to put in the engine later or what. i hope you understand what im saying. if i cant do anything like that, what are my choices?

i think the TII tranny works with the n/a... but what else r u talking about? swapping rotors/making a 13bt out of a 13b? seems like a pain in the ***. 13bt's dont really cost that much. if u want a turbo one, just get one.

well you know how the 13bt needs all the extra stuff to make it run with the conversion. im just wondering if theres any of those parts(tII ecu, wires, harness, whatever whatever) thati can install along the way thatll allow my car to run, before i actually put the tII engine in. cant explain much of it im late for work. hope you guys kinda understand at least lol. late

Alright heres the deal...my fastest time with my N/A was a 14.6 and a 14.4 in the 1/4. My mods were

Aggressive Streetport
T2 Housings
All emissions removed
Internally Ported and Polished Upper and Lower Intake Manifold
TB Fully Ported and Polished
New Racing Beat Lightweight Rotors
Japtrix Re-Mapped ECU
Cosmo 20B Fuel Pump

That N/A engine was SWEET!!!!...But I wanted to experience the whole Boost thing...so I am doin the whole J-Spec swap at the moment and I'll be alot faster. The N/A rotaries lack torque. The turbo II engines are powerful and have alot of potential. I got an S5 J-Spec 13Bt. But yeah that mod list for the N/A I have listed aint cheap, and u cn be in the 14's bone stock w/ a T2. So just think about it man....u know.

damn it lol. i hate feeling like i rushed into buying the car too fast. ergh... i shouldve just gotten a t2. i hate to be repeatedly changing my mind all the time about my car. maybe its best if i just get the t2 when i can. i already blew 3k on an automatic s5, and traded that for my current 87 na. whats the best way to obtain a t2, swapping or just buying one. i dont even have the money. would it be worth starting saving money to get one at this point?

NAs can be fun.....take a few corners and u'll know what i mean....im assuming u'll spend some money on shocks and springs first....but yeah....NAs have its goods....if u want to upgrade now and have the part used later on...get a safc/wb02...punch out the cats and have ur friend setup an exhaust system for you.....also...87 base is the lightest trim, 90gxls are heavy....so think of it that way

would 300 be able to cover all those PLUS oil change and spark plug/wires, and a new console bezel. if not how much would it be

***edit: would those fuel injector cleaner fluids work well enough?

they work..but not ideal
injector cleaning 50 bucks takes 2 weeks downtime
tranny/diff fluid 8 bucks a bottle.....u need 5-6
fuel filter 30 for the one in the front...not sure the about the intank(stealership item)
oil filter 5-6 bucks....
oil 5 quarts at 2 bucks a pop

console bezel no idea where u would find that..but if u find a second one...let me know..mines broken also!

Alright I got my 36,000 mile S5 T2 Engine from a front clip and it also included the T2 Tranny, ECU, Full Wiring Harness, and Intercooler. The total for all of that was $1250. I got a T2 Driveshaft for $70.00 shipped and brand new 750cc Injectors for $160 shipped. And a few other mods....lol. But if u did a swap with a stock T2 engine for right now and just ran a T2 Driveshaft and t2 tranny it would not be that much...and u would have that power in a much lighter body. Sure mod ur N/A some but if u r anything like me and want some power dont spend to much money on it....unless ur doin a T2 swap....or acutally buyin a T2 Car. I have seen pretty decent complete T2's go for about $2500, and the ones w/ blown engines cn be bought DIRT CHEAP.

yeah i think im either gonna save to buy a t2 with a blown engine, however much i can find one for, a cheap one. then ill get the engine later on. mmmmm... or ill just tune my current for a bit. i think suspension and rims/tires sound good enough for me right now. however, i will get a t2. even it its without the motor. muahaha

i dont think im knowledgeable enough to do the t2 conversion myself.

I knew about as much as you when I bought my 7. The tranny broke on the way home (from buying it ) so I had to do a tranny swap. If I can successfully do that, you can .

jeeze ram, i suggest u learn about the car before you start modding it, seriously the only time ill ever bring my rx-7 to the shop is if i 100% dont have the tools to do it, im restoring and repainting the body as we speak

i mean, i just got my rx-7 3 weeks ago, but i researched on it constantly coming up to that point
