Car idles funny when A/c is on
My 90 gxl idles funny after it is warmed up and the A/C is on. I was just wondering if there was some sensor that may go out or if I just need to mess under the hood with the idle for a little bit.

When the car is warmed up and the a/c is on, and your laughing at the funny idle, open the hood and pull the plug off the BAC valve. If there is no effect on the idle, I'd suggest you've got a lack of a signal from the ECU to the BAC, or the BAC its self is corrupt. Turn the engine off and then turn the key to the on position without starting the car. Go to the engine bay and with your finger, depress the TPS plunger with your finger OR open the throttle a bit. You should then hear the BAC cycling or going putt putt, verifying that there is a signal from the ECU.

Revs rise when you turn the wheel though so I'm not sure if it's because of a bad BAC.

NZCONVERTIBLE....The turbo has a AIR SUPPLY VALVE on the back of the intake manifold that jacks the idle up when the steering wheel is turned on a car with power steering. Its not BAC related. Thats the way it is on USA cars anyway. See the 88 manual that is online at www.fc3s.org and the chapter on Turbo Fuel.
