Car has zero power
Car has zero power
So I jumped my car on monday, because the battery died; its a somewhat new battery, but since I have a new daily driver I haven't been driving my RX-7 much, started just fine, it ran and everything. I go to start it today and I get no power. I mean literally nothing, nothing works; the interior lights dont work, the headlights dont go up, hazards dont turn on, exterior lights dont work, idiot lights etc etc, and this is with the key in any position. To jump the car I used a jumper box that I have at work, ive used it many times with no problems before. The starter doesnt click or anything, i mean the car is 110% dead. I did some searching and came up with results that said it might be the main fuse. I visually checked it and it looks ok. I have a voltemeter, but in all honesty i really dont know how to use it lol. you can visually check fuses cant you? If the little copper "bridge" going from one side of the fuse to the other is broken then its blown right? im honestly stumped, and i really dont wanna have it towed to my mechanic. any ideas? i could really use some help. I was just going to start driving it again too.
thanks
thanks
Well it cant be the jumper pack because I used it to start the car on monday. I didnt use it to try and start the car today, but i dont think the battery would drain that fast, and even if it did, wouldnt the car at least crank just a little bit before i start to hear the starter click? I mean its only been 2 days.

Check the Fuse Block In the Engine bay.you are looking at the Wires that Go TO the fuse block,Underneath it..Sometimes they Get all shitty and you have to clean them up..another Idea is the Wire to the alternator, and the wire to the starter..clean them too..YES..if the copper Thingie inside the fuse is broke then the fuse is Blown!..That 80 amp Fuse is Held in By TWO 10 mm nuts..one on each side of the Fuse Block too..You can't just Yank it out!
Yea all the fuses check out fine then. i looked at the wires to the fuse block but really dont but much effort into it so ill recheck them. how would you suggest i clean the wires? is it possible that the battery is completely dead? if a battery is 100% drained does nothing on the car get power? i dont know because ive never had a battery completely drain on me haha. the car hasnt moved in like a month, so i dont think any of the wires could have come loose, and i dont think it can be grounds because absolutely nothing has power...am i correct in that assumption?
If it were completely drained you would get nothing. I know, since it has happened to me. Use a known good battery and make sur eyou have te polarities correct.
Then check the fuses under the hood. It can't be too hard to solve why you get nothing at all.

yea i realize that lol, but its got me worried none the less. im really hoping it has nothing to do with wires of any sort, because that would be a pain in the *** for me haha. im hoping its a completely dead battery, but that would be weird cuz its only a year old, and has barely been used. should the battery really be completely dead so soon? the fuses are good, so its gotta be the battery....im hoping!!

First off, check your battery with your multimeter. Set it to volts (V) and see if it registers anything.
If the Main Fuse was blown some things would still work (ex. headlights). My guess is you have a bad battery terminal connection. I had one that was doing that even though the connector was pretty new. It would turn just enough so it wouldn't make a connection and shut my car off (while driving even). I would just wiggle it a bit and it'd be back. Yours might need more than a wiggle.
To check a fuse you set your multimeter to ohms (see below image) and then check to see if there's resistance. The meter should go to somewhere around 0 if the fuse is fine.

"Bat fuse"....
