strap type filter wrench usually works in a pinch...

They usually aren't that hard to get off though.

I would tap on it rather hard with a wrench, or something of the like, to break it free. Don't hit too hard, cause the cap is plastic.

this might sound funny, but you could try holding a hair dryer on it for a few minutes to heat it up...not melt it, but just heat til its hot to the touch. Remember things expand when they're hot and contract when they're cold. It's worth a shot.

Or, if you get desperate, you could funnel the oil down the check tube. Just pull the dipstick out first!

Rotarys use oil if the cap is that tight when is the last time it was ever added. I dont like the sound of that. How low is the oil anyway.

damn. Use a pipe wrench, gently on it, that'll take it off. Everyone seems to have a pipe wrench, if you don't, im sure your neighbor would as well. Also known as a monkey wrench.

THat is scary though.. not being able to get it off means that its been sitting there for QUITE some time I spose...
Is the oil BLACK, like really black on the dipstick?

If aLL else fails just break it off with a pair of Channel locks. Put a piece of aluminum foil over the hole until you buy another one. They are real cheap at the junkyard.

Um...doesn't the engine eat up oil depending on how hard you press the gas? Like you need to add a quart every 3000 miles or something like that. I would think that the car wouldn't be able to drive without any lubrication...
