In car fuel pressure gauge

Dont bother asking why, its for tuning purposes.
i want a on dash/pillar fuel pressure gauge. but i want an electrical unit as i dont want fuel running into the cabin. and as much as ive tryed, i cannot find one.
what do you think about using a electronic oil pressure gauge and sender unit (even though it runs in bar ) and plumbing the sender unit into the fuel line to read fuel pressure? will this work? or will fuel some how wreck the sender unit or not read properly or something

cheers,

Nate

of course they do( not that ive checked ), ive found ones similar to the isolator type here in nz for NZ$480
but there no way i want to pay that much money.

can some one just answer the question rather than give solutions to the problem ( not the usual request by all means but still, that what i want to know, as i have a spare adn if i could use it ( its digital ) that would be ace

Not for a nano second did I think NZ stood for NeuZeit. New Zealand. A territory of Australia, right? humor

If I were you......I'd just DO IT. Even if it breaks it's cheaper than any of the items I suggested. You might invest in a fire extinguisher though.

haha, thats right, were there 3rd island. if only we got paid like they do. damn NZ govt.

yea i guess thats all i can do aye, just give it a shot. i cant see any logical reason why it wouldnt work, as my knowledge dose not extend far enought to know how a oil pressure sendor works.

in good old kiwi terms

She'll be right
