Angry Car doesnt run right

Have a 1988 SE cant seem to get it running properly. Bought it almost 2 years ago never really drive it much. If it sits for a day or 2 wthout being touched it wont run, I gotta push start it or crank it for a about 10 seconds then try again in an hour or so, when when it starts it smoke alot. (and I mean alot) Then when it runs if I stop giving it gas the rpm will pretty much drop to zero and it stauls. No idea what it could be. Took it to mazda and they took out my fuel check valve which upped my fuel pressure but still didnt fix the problem. Tried some other thing from mazda trix then went on my fuel lines and unless it was hooked up wrong it didnt work either. Any help or suggesiton would be thanked.

Hope I get some good news.

It's flooding. Check the FAQ up at the top for info.

The AFM most likely has nothing to do with it.

how many miles on the engine? it could be low compression causing it to flood really bad. the smoke is just because its so badly flooded you have alot of raw gas in the combustion chamber. pull your plugs and see if they are wet from gas.

from the color of the smoke I thought it was flooding, mazda pressure tested the injectors to 50 lbs and said they were fine, so I'm clueless

It's flooding, regardless of what Mazda says. Really doubtfull that an injector pressure test will diagnose flooding, since it is a probablem that involves many different things, including a software bug in the ECU.

Well going on some new news from other people I realized since the smoke is white and not black or blue it cant be gas of some sort so I'm thinking its coolant. One guy told me it could be one of the coolant seals so I'm gonna look into that, b/c it does get low on coolant about every 5 miles when I drive it. Any other input would be appreciated.

anyone know of any mechanics or shops that can intelligently work on rotary's in delaware???
