car dies when clutch is pressed

hey guys I have the weirdest problem in the world. when i press the clutch in my car the car stalls. It feels like pressing the clutch puts load on the engine. I searched and didnt find anything. the car is a S4 TII has a ACT streetlite flywheel and a ACT max extreme clutch and pressure plate. the only thing I could think of is that the throwout bearing took a dump and its seizing and it slows the engine down when it touches the pressure plate. I already tested the sensors and it is not an electrical problem. any other sugestions will be welcomed!!!

Is the Car driveable?..Is this Happening when you have the Car started up already?..and then you go press clutch, select gear.let the clutch out and then "bogggg"?.

na man if i press the clutch the car dies. i dont even have to put it on a gear. as soon as i press the clutch thats it. if i keep it accelerated it stays alive. if i press the clutch and dont compensate it with the gas pedal it dies

Did you put in the clutch/flywheel yourself? Check to make sure you still have the main battery ground on there. I know its a longshot but I had the same problem and it turned out I forgot to bolt back down the main battery ground to the starter.

Must be in the clutch assembly, so I guess you'll need to pull it apart to see if the fingers on the PP are hitting the clutch springs, or for any marks on the fingers or PP, but this would surely make some noise. Make certain it's the correct TO bearing and that it's able to spin freely.
Let us know the outcome.

yes I did install the flywheel myself when I rebuilt the engine about 1000 miles ago. the car was running fine until a couple of days ago when it started doing this. thats why I assumed it was something internal in the clutch assembly somewhere. it doesnt make any noise or nothing as soon as I press the clutch the rpms drop to about 500 and then it dies. the main battery ground is connected to the starter as it is supposed to be. and again the car doesnt die when i release the clutch the car dies when I press the clutch in. any other sugestions before I pull the tranny will be very welcomed.

hey guys I have a question. could there be a possibility that one of my needle bearings went out and made my end play gap larger? and that is why my engine is stopping when I press the clutch?

Check the movement of the front pulley when the clutch is depressed.
If the car still has the clutch switch on the pedal, how is the engine able to start if it stalls when the pedal is depressed?

I bypassed the switch to isolate the problem

I am using the max extreme pressure plate

ok guys I finally had a chance to work on the car and got to the root of my problem. right as I suspected one of my front needle bearings got totally trashed, and also took out my thrust plate and spacer so I had to order some parts and I have to find a way to flush the engine and get rid of all the shrapno in there!!!! I'm still wandering how did it happen. the only thing I wasnt able to find was a thrust plate. there are some in ebay but dont have a shipping price. if anyone has one in useable conditions and want to get rid of it shoot me a PM. will post again when I have updates
