I think im gonna replace the fuel pump just because its old and to eliminate it From the the things that could causing the problem

 

The reason I was saying to jump it is because It might be wiring to the pump and not the pump itself.

In other words, something may not be telling the fuel pump to turn on.

 

im thinking its probably something like that too. ill try doing this. it just sucks that the problem is real intermittent and only happens like 10% of the time so itll be hard to tell right off the bat if the jumping worked or not. ill mess around with it and see whats up
