Angry Car died Need Help Bad Please!!!!

My car died while I was driving. I was driving then all of a sudden the car just died no electrical what soever. The ignition wont even turn over, the light switch works even my foglights work but there is no power to everything else. Of course the car won't start because the igintion will not fire over. I checked the main fuse 80amp, 60amp, etc... under the hood but they are all working. I havent check the fuses inside the car because when it died I was on my way to work. Any suggestions anyone please .....I hate to see my baby down...HELP HELP HELP.

ps: battery terminals are fine...I checked those.

Do you have a multimeter handy? You should start ohming out your main fuses. Sometimes you cant tell if the fuses are bad. Plus you could check to se if 12 V is getting to the main fuse.

My car did something very similar.

You know what it tuned out to be?

The battery posts were corroded and dirty and weren;t making a good connection.

Try this first since it's the easiest to fix.

Take some sandpaper and ruough up the terminal posts and the clamp insides. Put it back on and hopefully everything will work perfect.

Thats kinda strange that it died while you were driving. sounds like a bad ground, or as stated above possibly coroded terminals. It is very possible for connections to come loose in a car because of engine vibrations. Run a 2nd ground wire from battery to bare metal on chasssis.

Thanks Guys and Gals this weekend I'm going to run all new ground wires through out the whole car. Hell it's time anyway to do this .....I have been putting it off for a while.

DME? or DME relay?

I would check your DME, because if your car just plain out died, it might be a bad DME.
