Car bucks at low RPM in first
I'm not sure when it started doing this but this is the first year I've driven the car that I noticed it. When I try to drive my car steady at about 1000 RPM's of less, it bucks like crazy. Even if I take my foot off the gas and just let it slow itself down it does this which seems like it's almost going to stall but the RPM's are still too high for it to stall. I'm hoping it's something like the fluid needs to be changed and not the actual transmission. I did get the tranny for about $500 though...
It's a rotary. It's not going to be happy if you're trying to cruise at 1000 RPM. Keep it at 2000 RPM or higher, and press the clutch pedal in when coming to a stop. If you let it fall low, it will buck or stall.
What he said.
Think about it this way: the actual rotors in your engine are only spinning at 333RPM when the engine is at 1000RPM, so any less and the rotors are practically stopped.
