car boggs out at WOT???

just got my rx7 back together. i removed the injectors manifold and all that throttle and stuff. now the car boggs hard when i gas it. at any rpm, but really bad up in the 3k range. car is making boost. when i gas it i can hear the turbo spooling and it hit 5psi at 3k no problem. what could the problem be? injectors bad? maybe a bad vacuum leak. anyone ever have a problem like this. car boost but zero power. also could i have set up my throttle cables wrong? any help very appreciated.

I had similar problems over the course of this last week, do a search for my name and look at the last 4 or so threads ive replied to. Theres a lot of info in there. I wound up having a bad injector and my boost/pressure sensor was bad.

ok checked my car again, now i dont have a vacuum hose on my regulator on the sec fuel rail. also i went for a spin again and this time brought my car over 4k and it does not bogg at all. it drives much smoohter once past 4k but still has no power and i can here the turbo whooshing alot. so i am thinking a big vacuum leak , also i removed the vacuum line from my boost sensor and put a screw in it. didnt make any difference. BUT i also didnt bring it up past 4k when it was connected. so now i am thinking its a leak somewhere but i cant find it, also i think the bogging may be a bad primary injector. any help on what it could be appreciated.

the only thing you can do is check EVERYTHING yourself, we cant see your engine an figure out what it is, it could be a # of things that could cause this to happen.

one time i was racing, a vaccum line came off some how, i thought i blew my engine for sure, it wouldnt rev for ****, turns out just an open nipple some how, not sure how. so i ripped everything off an capped it. it was the nipple on the lim...

best thing to do is rip ur intake off an check everything 5 times. make sure no lines are sliced or leaking.
to find it fast, use flamable carb cleaner an spray. look in the areas when you hear the engine rev up without giving it thottle.

if you think its you injecture take them out an buy some injecture cleaner, or buy some of that stuff you put in ur gas tank to clean your injectures. i doubt its that unless you have high miles. how many miles do you have on them?

Mine has this problem too, What really sucks is i don't have a working tachometer...but when i gas it hard in 1st, it feels like it dosn't go anywhere, like it's hitting a 'rev' limmiter if you will but i know it's not redlining yet at all...it just dosn't go anywhere and, to me, feels incredibly slow compared to how it used to feel.

I had similar problems last week and with some advice from HAILERS I was able to fix it almost completely. The first thing u should do is the easiest . Splice in lengths of wire to the four ground wires on the ECU (3A , 3G , 2C , 2R) and crimp them into a ring connector. Bolt the ring connector to one of the ECU grounds. Your ECU probably has a bad ground and this should fix it. Apparently most people (Including Myself) forget to re-attach the ground on the wiring harness to the vac spider. The issues your talking about mimic that of a missing ECU ground

I've had this problem for 2 months and I'm freakin stumped. The only addition I have is that when I boost real hard(and get no power). I get a huge puff of blue smoke about a second later. I also get a little puff upon starting. Maybe a blown engine. I'll be doing anything that gets posted here before a rebuild though.
