Car alarm goes off everytime i unlock my car...
My car alarm goes off every time I unlock the driver's side door. The only way to stop it is by opening the hood and pulling out the fuse which is second from the left-front (yellow). 50% of the time the car will not start after I do this. I have replaced the battery this week, it has nothing to do with lack of power, I believe it is the security system preventing the car from starting. Just an hour ago I disconnected the battery and pulled out the main 100A fuse to see if that would reset everything but with no luck. Is there a specific fuse inside the car by the pedals which has anything to do with the security system? All of this started happening last friday when I had to break in with a wire hanger, maybe i messed something up inside the door too? My car is a 1991 rx7 coupe NA, Thanks for any advice!

I presume this is the factory alarm. I have an '88 GTU with the factory alarm, so have gone through a number of issues with it.
First off, if the alarm goes off again as you describe, do NOT go for the hood and fuse. Go to the passenger door and unlock it as normal. Unlocking with the key is the standard way to disarm the factory alarm, whether driver or passenger side. You do NOT need to open the door. Just unlock and then go to the driver's side to unlock. The alarm should already be disarmed.
If this works, now you have a way to get into the car without the alarm going off. Yea, it is a PITA, but it keeps the neighbors happy - you can get in without making all that racket! I have had to do this.
As you already guessed, I suspect you damaged something with the coat hanger entry. You will need to pull the interior panel off to investigate.
The current method you describe to silence the alram is probably what a thief might first attempt. Trouble is , the alarm cut-off has already been activated and pulling the fuse does nothing.
Try what I recommend above and see if that works consistently. It is at least a place to start.
There are always problems with cars that are this old. The next thing you can expect is that the push-buton at the bottom rear of the doors will not register you opening the door. This also causes problems. For example, if I do not activate my alarm fully, but close the doors, the alarm will sometimes activate such that the when I open the door without using the key, it will thingk that the car has been broken into. One day I will have to get on with addressing this particular problem.
Anyway ...
Try the above and see if it works consistenty. Now you can at least start to intelligently address the problem vice guessing.

I appreciate the advice but unfortunately for me, the passenger side door handle does not accept a key, it never has, only the driver side does and in the past simply turning the key in the driver's side has disarmed the alarm silencing it like you mentioned, so this problem is very recent, last week is my guess, when i had to get into it.
haha-
You're going to have to make sure all your alarm INPUTS are good- they're just switches for basically an old *** PLC of a theft deterant system.
There's 2 on the drivers door (1 lock, 1 open handle), 1 on the pass (open handle) 1 for the hood, and 1 at each hatch latch. Just make sure the wiring is properly hooked up (not cut, etc) & you should be good. My '88 SE did this, and I found that the P.O. had cut the wiring on the drivers side to get the handle out at some point, which is why it happened.
Or, if you don't care if it works or not- do this-
Pull the pass side speaker panel, under the glove box. You'll find a sheet metal box, w/ a pig tail coming out of it. This is the alarm computer. Just unplug it, and you're now alarm-less, no more going off at random times.
Hvae fun!

In a S5, the auto seatbelt computer is behind the glovebox, the security is part of the CPU, located in the drivers kickpanel.
oh ****, yea you're right, in the CPU is dead on. FC01 or FC66 depending if airbags or not. yea man trace you're wiring I guess haha
no fuses in my car are 01 or 66? I do not have a cover for the fuse box. would an 88 fuse box cover be relevant? nothing is listed on it that has anything to do with "theft" or "security." I could not find a picture of a 91 fuse box cover on the internet. here is the 88 cover https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generati...-cover-860799/
