cant redline????

cant redline????

well since ive had my 90GTU if never been able to take it to the 8000rpm redline, i mean i can take it there but at about 7000-8000 there is no more power felt it doesnt pull at all, it sounds like its just spining freely in the housing. and ive nvr been able to take it past redline, i have to shift at about 6500-7000 and its gettin kinda annoying. has anybody else had this problem, any suggestions. again its a 90gtu, with about 85000miles on a nonrebuilt 13b. plugs,wires,oil,all fillters,ect. all new. as far as i know all other senors and stuff like the fuel pump are all operating correctly. timing im not sure about tho, nvr checked. could this be a early sign of apex seals failing? car runs and pulls real stong, its just before u get to that dam redline that i cant get anymore power
some one please help

Pretty much what he said. But verify that your VDI and 5th and 6th ports are working correctly (see archives and search).

ya but my friend has a 88se witha rebuilt that probably has like 40000on it now and can take it to redline and beyond, he can max out his tach and the car still pulls, i on the other hand have to shift 1000 before my 8000redline, its jst not fair. 5,6ports are openin fine also
