Can't get running, Rotary noob, Please Help
Alright, I bought my RX7 turbo II 1987 not running from a guy who convinced me that if I swapped out the upgraded injectors and Japaneses fuel rails for USDM rails and injectors the car would run fine. (it has a JDMmotor...or so he says) lo and behold the car did not start when i installed them. So far I have concluded that my motor is not getting any fuel or spark. Fuel is spurting out at fuel pump therefore I know it is working, when i took my spark plug out and cranked it no fuel puffed out, not even a whiff of gas smell. second my spark, initially i tested my spark through regular diagnostics just by cranking and someone watching the plug grounded to the strut mount. Then I moved back and tested the resistance on the ignitors something that I have read that usually goes on these. The resistance was wayyy over so I knew they were fried. So I ordered "working" ones off of ebay. Just put them in and no spark.
If any one has any ideas or a plan to help me pinpoint my problems, I would receive them with utmost gratitude. Please help I am in dire need of a vehicle as my DD just died.... in a shitty situation.
I also need to rep the rotary to my friends with mustangs.

umm well if your pump is working then u should get fuel. how did u hook up your fuel lines? the primary rail should run to the fuel filter and the secondary rail should run to the firewall.
and the no spark ummm. u said u got new working coil packs and i assume u have new plugs and wires. so the problem is in the wiring trace it down..
and if both spark and injectors are hooked up right and there dosent seem to be a problem with the wiring u might have a bad ecu

The car was running for about a week after the install of the jdm with larger aftermarket injectors and then broke down, the previous owner has told me. Then he took it into rx7 specialties (local rotary specialist) did something to it not knowing what, it drove around the block and then died again. Would the ecu slowly die like this? Also when cranking over it stops by itself, and some times it doesn't even crank when i turn the key. Any ideas for this problem?

its possible but most of the time the ecu craps out and fries its self and u can smell it for days.
are u sure u dont have fuel and spark?? and the starter sounds like its going bad or u have some corroded or fried starter wires. mine went bad after cranking on it for about 30 min non stop.
it could be a compression problem. but really to help u need to give better symptoms

EGI fuse at the strut tower block? Crank angle sensor? Check if all your air/vaccum hoses are on correctly too...I had one hose that wasn't connected and i'd have to keep the throttle on or it'd just die.

Compression test first, before moving on and checking other stuff.
Check timing, make sure it's fine. If it's very off, you may have to lign up the CAS sensor gear (see FSM on removing and installing CAS). Hook up the timing light to the other wires, and make sure spark is going through.
Check AFM resistances per FSM. Use a stethescope to listen for the primary injectors clicking. Check the solenoid resistor under the Air filter area to make sure 12V+ is going to the injectors (the ECU grounds the injectors for pulse).
Things I would check into later would be fuel pump and rail pressures. BTW, take a picture of the injectors so we can see if they're the right ones.
edit: Check Circuit Opening Relay under the instrument panel to the right of the steering shaft. Check Main Relay near the Trailing Coil. Don't forget the fuses. FSM links in my sig.
