cant get my car to run.please help
heres the deal i bought a rebuild from rotary resurection a little while ago.then i saved up more money to buy gaskets good oil radiator and such.well i got the engine in and it does not run.it cranks strong but no run time.at first i thought i would un flood it but when i pulled the efi fuse green it was still pumping gas just no spark.so i disconnected the fuel pump its self.unflooded it and it still would not start.please help me out on this.i have asked people in my area but no one has the time to really help or anything.they are basically all 3rd gen. its an 87 TII. thanks, jason

maybe there is no spark, you forgot a vacuum line along the way? I would go back and check all visible connections, then check ones that are hard to see, maybe you have a massive vacuum leak. Check your CAS, your timing could be way off the mark. If all that is confirmed, check for spark.

All right, check the compression, even if it's the "ear" test...Pull one trailing plug at a time, crank her over, and listen for three consecutive strong pulses of air, do each rotor housing, then get back to us...If you have a compression tester, so much the better- use that, then get back to us...

do you have the wires hooked up to the right plugs? and if you pulled the EGI fuse and are still getting gas then there are some major problems with your car.... such as a pump rewire gone wrong...too much fuel pressure at start up causing the car to flood...check the plugs first(right wire and right plug) and then the compression..last but not least..tow start the car..leave it in third gear with the key on ACC till it starts

You might want to compression check. This was the other questionable engine that I repaired...Shane did not build these motors, he apparently bought them from someone else already built. Whoever built this one didn't know his *** from a hole in the ground...https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/teardown-recent-rebuild-i-bought-2000-miles-get-ready-cry-me-330644/

You should try to get it running. Used housing rebuilds, before startup, are often this low. The problem with jacob's motor was that it had all used parts, including used seals and such...they would never have broken back in. New seals will still show low compression if the housings were used, but the compression will rise quite a bit after you get it started and broken in.
