Cant get idle under 1400 ...hlp??
My cars idle is about 1400 rpm and i cant get it lower.. I think its cause of the mods since its running a lil rich .. It also might be a weak throttle body return spring.. but of course that might not have anything to do with it.. if any body gots any clues help is gadly accepted.
oh yah i already tried adjusting the tps and tweeked with the timeing but it still idled high.
mods:catless straight pipe exhaust, TB mod, smog equipment gone,ACV blocked off, No A/C & power steering, k&n cone intake kit, Tons of ground wires.

does it pulse? bounce? is it rough?
Is your throttle cable too tight?
Have you checked your car for vacuum leaks?
is your OMP rod binding on anything?...
hmm, can't think of anything else right now.... but there's probably something.

if i open the throttle adjust screw it does the bobble thingy. and even with it completly close sometimes it bobbles...
ive fixed my vac leaks so its not them.
my throttle cable seems ok....
i mean it might just be my mods. but its hard too tell. by the omp rod ya mean the butterfly vavle???
cause if anything i think its the return spring. but i dont have any cleaner right now so i guess its time to get in the zone..

OK stand in front of the car and hold the part that is circled in red, and turn it clockwise (or the way that the cars RPM's will drop), and if it goes down to idle then you need to lubricate that part and the parts that conect to it on the back side of the TB, and you also probably need to set your fast idle screw.
And the part that is circled in the blue is the OMP rod, and it goes down to the front passengers side of the eninge to the OMP (oil metering pump). And it would not be the problem since you can move it freely without changing the enigne's RPM's.
