driver side is the only mounted right now but you get the idea. how about those red seats..not sure ill get to liking them....i also have a pair of tan fd seats ill post some pics later of what it looks like with tan seats in the vert.

figured someone would like to see what it looks like...hope it helps all who might be thinking of going this route.

by the way..you can have a little fun with it and rag on the color clash if you want..im welcome to jokes and feedback

SWEET. Did you take pics of the brackets? Did you take any measurements? I would be interested in getting the details if you would not mind sharing .

well if i could have found black at the same price id have gone black. when i remove and put the tan seats in for pics ill snap some shots of the bracket. i do have some measurements but the brackets i made are a kinda rough first draft. i just got a concept...bought some steel and dove in....a few days and many curse words later i was riding on different seats...then i spent even more time to get a cleaner looking install and get a few inches that are really needed, back. helps to get more headroom and centered better..more towards the center console..covering up the brackets, so its not visible.

anyways thanks for looking

Looks good, like I said before I'm not fond of the color, but it does look better than last time (I guess the pic made them look too shiny). Nice job man, and I second getting some info on a bracket if you have some secrets you'd like to share with us.

havent done the passenger yet it looks tough but do-ible all the same. ill just put the fc bracket in the car with no seat and start making angles..then match it all up..thats the plan anyway.

i cant promise when..but i will get them all in and get a pseudo write up with measurements.

the seats in now are just cheapies that i bought in case i couldnt get the fd seats to fit. they will later be probly black or tan depending on the easiest blow to my wallet. whichever color they are i plan on putting some small spots of the same color in the car to even it all out. as usual its more time and money for the 7!!lol

too bad you couldnt get black but if you like them then it's your choice dont let anyone diss you on the way you like your car because your not pleaseing them your pleasing yourself.
.......r.....e..........d.....
anyways get the seats resphoulsterd (sp?) they could need it. hopefully a diff color than .......r.....e......d..... but if you like .......r.....e..d.... then so be it. other than .......r..........e....d..... they look very nice

dont even get me started about the auto tranny!!!...i guess i could fib and say its a new style tranny that looks auto but shifts like a manual..but id be lying, its not a lexus.....the worst part is that the woman(for some reason) spent 5 grand to have a pettit streetport engine put in there about 8 months before i bought the car...so basiccally the torque converter is already gone...1 too many brake launches..it really only took about 10 brake launches to toast the stock tranny with the added hp....but back then the car was a baddass...she still grabs perfectly above 3 grand...but sometimes getting going is a slow affair...after the initial getting to go the gears grab pretty strong still.

if you like the red seats you should see it when i have the tan fd seats in..much smoother transition for the eye to accept.

I noticed the automatic transmission and wasn't going to say anything. There are days I wish mine was auto, like the rare occasion I have to make a cell phone call and I'm in stop and go traffic - I have hands free but I still need to dial (car is too noisy for voice dialing). Anyway I think the red seats look OK, the thing I saw in the side pics that I didn't like was some surface rust on your clips for your top - I almost forgot what it looked like, we don't have that problem here in Arizona, but I guess in Florida you don't have many 100+ degree days which eat tops and interior!

I actually don't mind the red at all. Seats look very very nice. Except in your case, what I would do is get some same-coloured leather, and reupholster the door panel insert (you know, the part that looks like black leather? not the vinyl/plastic part) with the same red colour. It would get rid of all the clashing because the colours would have something to correspond to.

Just an idea

thats because the tan leather was available in the 92 'verts:

Hey how well does the seat belt retract though the FD seat guides?
