Can't get on the gas...?

S5 TII...

Everytime I step on the throttle more than just very gradually laying on it, my car bogs down and feels like it's flooding out or something. I have the hardest time just driving up a hill because I have to just barely "touch" the throttle otherwise it will bog. Also, when I'm jus revving, I can't stab the throttle. I have to also gradually give it gas to rev it up.

The wierd thing is I can shut off the car and turn it back on. Then I can boost hard for maybe 2 gears or something. Then the check engine light comes back on and the bogging happens again.

I was thinking maybe it was because I did the TB mod and haven't adjusted my TPS, but then how could I shut off the car and turn it back on and be able to even go through the revs cleanly for a couple times?

Anyone else experienced this, or has any ideas?

if your car has the light on and is bogging it might be the OMP....

check the codes and see why the light is comming on.

good luck if it is the OMP (oil metering pump) if its the electric pump your looking at 1500 dollar part new the manual pump i9s not so bad you might be able to find it in the junk yard but don count on it for the electric pump its normally the sensor in them that goes bad I have seen it a million times I have seen in some cause they remove the pump and premix fuel.

Ok, I finally had time to mess with my car. The thing is, I followed the directions on your page, but there doesn't seem to be a code stored. I'm guessing it's because the CEL only comes on after I get on the gas. It doesn't come on when I'm just barely on the gas. Any more ideas?

if the light came on at any time it's still stored. doesn't have to stay on.

Hmm, I found the single green plug and took a piece of wire and grounded it to the neg battery terminal. Then after turning the key to the "on" position for like... 30 secs, the CEL still didn't turn off or flash.... ?

if there is no codes it will shut off after a few secs while all the others stay one. if there are codes it will start flashing.

if yours stays on then maybe you have some ECU or wiring problems...

Wow, I guess a paper clip wasn't good enough for grounding out the plug. Finally got the codes checked though. It showed 11 codes stored... DAMN! 4 of which were input devices.

Input Devices:
- 5 (knock sensor)
- 17 (feedback system)
- 27 (OMP)
- 37 (OMP)

I guess I'm out of luck with the OMP situation then...

Hmm, I guess this could also be why my car consumed about 2 quarts of oil in about 800 miles....
