Can't copy parts of threads to Word Document?

Nothing to do with second gens but on occasion, I have tried to copy parts of threads into a Word document with no success. All I get are random colored squiggley lines. Reason to do so? It allows me to save relavent parts of threads without copying the entire thing.

Is there a way around this? I have copied HTML formats into Word documents before and do not know enuf about this stuff to explain to myself why I am such an abysmal failure.

just go to the top left under FILE, and save the website. You can change the way you want to save it to a .txt . Wrong section to post it, hope that helps.

highlight text, control C. open text docoment. control V.

done... you just have to do one post at a time if you are trying to copy a whole thread.

The font is set to White. So, in Word you have white on white background. Hard to read, eh?

After copy/pasting, select the text in Word and change the font color.

The squiggly lines are for misspellings and poor grammar...which run rampant on here. Like AREXSVN said, you're viewing white text on a white background, so all you see are the underlined errors.
