Can you upgrade boost pressure sensor to run more boost?

Can you upgrade s4t2 boost pressure sensor to handle more boost since stock cuts at 15lbs?

Have all supporting mods to run up to 18lbs.

One of the electrical guys can answer better than me, but I'm betting the answer is no. Iirc it's the ECU which cuts off, not the sensor.

You can run a fuel cut defencer to trick the ecu into not seeing as much boost pressure and continue generating boost, but ecu will not continue adding proper fuel and your engine will eventually go boom.

the fuel cut is at 7 psi the sensor out of range is around 15, he asking to go beyond the range of the sensor( answer is not on the stock ecu-presently)

The answer is yes, but by getting a real engine management solution. If you really have supporting mods and a turbo capable of 18 psi efficiently then you should already be in a standalone anyway...Adaptronic units have a built in MAP sensor, I cannot express how phenomenal their computers are.

No you don't, not if you have the stock ECU. Standalone is required.

Also 18 PSI is going to be sketchy regardless because you're past the point where out of the pump fuels are reliable. At the minimum, alcohol or water injection will be a definite necessity.

Or you could upgrade the turbo (you won't be doing this on the stock turbo anyway as after about 14 PSI it's just blowing heat and at 18 PSI, it won't last long) so you running a compressor properly sized to feed the engine at a sane boost level.

Running rtek 1.8, FMic, safc 750cc/850cc rewired fuel pump walbro but stage 3. The only thing is the timing I'm worried about as of right now I'm sitting at 13 psi.

But theoretically the ecu would send the same amount of fuel at 15 psi all the way till 18 psi if it was done? Just checking. Already in market for ems

the stock ECU primarily does fueling based on the air flow, using the Air Flow Meter (AFM), the boost sensor figures in somewhere, but it is minor, apparently.

the ecu market right now is pretty simple, the plug in Adaptronic is tough to beat
