Arrow Can you repair the pulsation damper?

I have a friends rx7 that is here now and the pulsation damper is spraying fuel...I made her get all new o rings fr the injectors and a new coolant line for the rear iron...but I was wondering if there is anyway to repair the damper, or replace it with something else THAT ISN'T 130 DOLLARS! MAN those things are expensive!

You can either order a banjo bolt to fit that location and block off the pulsation damper, or you'll have to buy a new one. People have blocked off the PD with success but it isn't the right way to go. A new PD may be $130.00 but thats $130.00 to ensure your friends car won't burn to the ground. There is no way to repair a faulty PD and most of them are bad. I suggest you order it from mazda, this is why we have credit cards jk

Exactly...it's $130 for another 15 years of a car that won't hurn to the ground bc if you don't fix it and the car burns you'll kick yourself for not spending that cash

They cant be fixed. If you try, you run the risk of not putting the screw in far enough which will allow the membrane inside to rupture (provided it hasnt already) spraying fuel all over the place, or youll end up putting it in too far causing the membrane to rupture (provided it hasnt already) spraying fuel all over the place.
Its not a hard job, and its something that once done you wont have to worry about again for a long while. Just do it right the first time, youll be glad you did in the long run.
