Spend some time at PIR, I'm sure there are street car organizations that hold events there. Worst case, come on down to a Thunderhill Street school in northern california. They teach threshold braking.

Yes, ABS is a good thing, but on these old cars, it's a lot more of a hassle than it's really worth. Spend some time working on your ability to control a car in a bad situation (I just had that happen in my daily driver, daydreaming about my girlfriend and didn't notice the light was red Gave the rest of the expressway a smoke show )
