CO Can water injection help with reliability on my TI?

My car is entirely stock other than suspension and with about 70k original miles my primary concern is safety over performance on this car. I do like the idea of water injection since I don't want to (And call me purist if you must) molest the stock inter-cooler system by adding more piping and potentially having undesirable low end. I like the idea of adding efficiency to the stock Hitachi unit though being completely shadowed by ball bearing technology it accomplishes it's job quite well, perhaps a BNR turbo will be added in the future.
I do like the pre-turbo setup. What is the insight of this forum?

water injection would be good. I don't like the pre turbo water injection personally because of cavitation. There are a few arguments about it, but water injection is good as it is

Leave the car alone until it breaks. These cars don't knock from the factory, they were designed for regular fuel and running premium is all the knock protection you need.

yeah the system is pretty reliable bone stock as-is.
its when you start modding things, they go down hill real quick!

if it is really bone stock( like stock exhaust and intake and boost level), then just maintenance things, good radiator and hoses, get the injectors cleaned/serviced/ change your fuel filter and fuel pump sock, and run premium fuel
