can somebody help me

I was doing a compression test on my motor and now i cant get it to start and stay running at less than 3000 rpm. It was rebuilt about 3000 mls ago and I followed the directions in the haynes manual. Can someone give me some Ideas of what to check? (I've already checked for vacuum hoses but couldn't find any that where missing or off at all, and its not flooded because it starts.)

What did you remove to do the compression test? Did It start before? Does It Idle like an epoleptic bull when started? Perhaps a misinstall of the Spark Plug Wires.

Happened to me the first time I removed the Wires many moons ago.

I double checked the plug wires thinking the same thing but they are on the right way. It did start before but know it will not stay running unless i keep it idleing around 3000. Thought maybe it might be that my tps died unplugged it and nothing same problem still exists.
Does anyone have any ideas or anything else i might be able to check. Thanks for the help its really appreciated.

Did you just check to see if any of the vacuum lines were loose or did you also check for vac leaks?

ditto on the throttle cable being stuck and also if you have cruise control perhaps it has been stuck on and is revving up the engine.
