Can/Should I install 89-91 Upper intake in my 88 RX7?

Just wondering,...Can I /Should I install 89-91 Upper intake in my 88 RX7? I hear it's a better setup but is it worth the trouble? Can I do it myself? Is the performance worth the work? Thanks
