can a s5 fuel pump be wired for use on a s4?

ok....heres the deal..... my father bought me a walbro 255 fuel pump for my car, but got the wrong year..... he got one for an s5......i needed an s4......... so to save the hassle of return shipping, waiting for the new one..blah blah blah.... can the s5 one be wired in for use on an s4? if not, no biggie, it will just take longer for me to do my upgrades, but if it is possible, id rather just use the s5

yes u can use it. the only prob u would have is if u changed the fuel pump assembly. the s4 and s5 assembly are different. the connectors on the actual fuel pump hook up the same way so ull have no prob. u can use the s5. if u sent it back to them they might send it rite back. BUT U DONT HAVE TO TAKE MY WORD, just take the pump out and look at , ull see. good luck.

No, he is saying that the s5 walbro will go in fine.... the only difference between the s4 and s5(fuel pump wise) is the fuel pump assembly, not the actual fuel pump. They use the same fuel pump.

see FSM pages F2-47 and F2-49.

Since you're planning a fuel pump swap I would've thought you'd have looked there already...

It'll work.
You just need a longer piece of rubber hose to connect the fuel pump to your fuel pump fitting on the bracket.
