Can i use manifold

i have an 88 TII my manifold is the one on the left with the little hole on the upper left i just got the one on the right this one has no hole and it has a flapper inside.
if i remove the flapper will this manifold work? is it possible to have a machine shop drill the hole in it.
Do i have to have the little hole?

yea i cant get the pic small enuff to fit
is there anyone that knows what im talking about
my old manifold has a extra hole and no flapper
the new one does not have the extra hole and it also has a flapper in the right exhaust hole.
So if you are looking at the engine block there is a third exhaust port on the lower left.
