You have to, that's the only sensor the gauge is designed for.

I don't get you question. CAn you use the same O/2 bung location for a wide band sensor?, is that what you are asking.

As the NZ man said. That's how it'shooked up. 1 wire goes to 12V, 1 to ground and 1 to O2 sensor.
