Can I use

Yo everyone. I found a 13Bnon-turbo engine at school, in shop class. The teacher told me the only thing wrong with it is blown apex seals. I have pics of the engine that I took with my T-Mobile SideKick 2. But I dont know how to post pics on the site.

the only thing wrong, but it is a very big thing that is wrong. u will have to rebuild the engine and most likely have to get a new rotor and housing. this will cost u mucho denero, some like 1000+.

To post pics, you can find the attachment box below the message box....and a blown apex seal is the major reason you'll find a 13b not in use. (well that or any internal seal that may be blown...

How do i make it smaller

It says: File Too Large. Limit For This Filetype Is 100.00kb.
And it said mine is 225.1kb.

So how do I make it small enough to post.

Right click the pic. Edit--->Image--->Stretch/Skew. Input some smaller percentages. maybe 50% on Horizontal and Vertical (these should be the same unless you want your car to look fatter or taller).

Maybe your teacher only "thinks" it has a blown apex seal. Have you inspected them though the exhaust ports?

Oh. Yeah I also wanted to add a turbo to the NA engine or is it best to buy a supercharger. I'm only 15 so I can't really save up enough for a front clip. And I wanted to add a turbo. to the na engine.

I already know I gotta change to lower compression rotors, and upgraded fuel system. What else would I need.

Here is the pics.

Do more later gotta go to school. Peace.

you don't need lower compression rotors in order to do turbo, in fact the higher compression ones will produce more power if tuned properly. It's just the 5th and 6th ports don't match well with the turbo ones making the turbo set up hard to install

Just preplan where you're going to run oil and water from, and if it's an s4 or s5 depends on the type of turbo you can get. If you're going to use the na manifolds I think you have to use an s4 turbo because of the differences in the hotside. go to www.aaroncake.net it tells you what you need to go. also search "turboing na" It's a lot more work and money than it first appears

depends on how your class is, some shop classes let you build engines or do custom work on your own cars, etc...

most of the time in our auto shop class at high school i was working on my truck.

hmm, all of the questions you have asked have been asked several times. I think I'd get a car to go w/ that engine first...Unless you just want something to play w/, if its free take it...but at 15 and assuming you have very little income like the average 15 year old you're not going to be able to afford a rebuild for some time...and it'd be a hellova lot safer to get a car for it first.
