Thats false information, know what your talking about or don't say anything at all. A 20B can be found at a range of prices, those JDM sites have them usually infact I saw one for sale recently at 4500 USD and that includes the entire longblock, harness etc etc.

You go from selling your FD to thinking about a 20B swap? You do realize a 20B swap costs more money than you can imagine. Now as far as diagnosing the problem, compression, fuel, spark.

Yup. You have spark, you have fuel cause it tryed to start you said. Chances are that since its flooded you have lost some compression and there's probably not a whole lot on a original TII engine with that many miles on it. The previous owner probablt sat there and cranked on it for a while with out spark so I'm bettin its gunna come to life when you build the compression up by push starting it. As for the 20B... I Bought one from Tiger JDM for 3500 and it came with everything. After a long process of swaping everything over in the FC it fired right up. and let me tell you its worth it. 5.5K!? I haven't even put that much into the car including the 20B swap!

Here's a link to where I got a 20B ! $3500 minus shipping.

wow, great deal. i wish i could find somethign like that.
good luck with it. i hope you can get it to start.
the other day i tried calling someone for an rx7 he wanted 400 obo. he had already sold and said to me.
"I've gotten some 300 calls about this car. what's so special about it anyway?"
I said some stuff about drifting that the guy probably didn't understand. i didn't tell him, however, that he could've gotten around 5x as much for the car. it was kind of funny to me. it's always great to get a car off of someone who doesn't understand it's real value.

GOOD NEWS, the bastard turned ON!!! it took about 4 times to push start it and it runs ok. It smoke for abou 1 min and i left it running for about an hour and afterwards I punched it , lets just say it needs a rebuilt, but I have decided to sell the swap...
