can i swap these ???

ok i have some left over s5 front suspension parts and i want to put them in my s4 t2. so can i replace this:







with this:



i notice the ends are different, why is that?

The s4 has replaceable balljoints, the s5 does not, it is integrated to the arm, and if your joint goes bad the whole unit must be repalced. You can do the swap, but note that the sway bar endlinks are different, and you have to use either the endlink, the mount, or the swaybar from the s4 car along with the control arms...it's been a long time, someone who's done the swap recently can confirm.

Well, what do you mean? Seperating balljoints usually is a bitch, but other than that, it's just like any other suspension work. Not really complicated, just a lot of rusty, tight bolts and such.

replaceable balljoints, thats it. I've never seen an FC tear up balljoints unless in a wreck, anyway. so I dont see the point, unless you just have a strong desire to turn wrenches.
