I have an '88se. I had the tranny rebuilt (with new stock clutch this ol' 7 was scratching third gear) and about two weeks later, some unregistered grey primed Nova with an unlicenced non owner creamed the driver side door (incidental front quater panel damage) then ran. Rat Bastard!

I also have a '90 GXL with a new eng 10K ago (RUNS STRONG) The chasis has 140K on it. This car is a Keeper.

Anyway- the question is -- Can I do a direct swap with the transmissions?
