Another Port Question....Sorry!!
I can imagine this can be redundant, and I did do a search but I still got a question and need some help.
I set out to put my new header and presilencer. After i took the manifold off, I was like...might as well take off the acv and check out the ports all at one time. Both were gunked with so much ****. Got them all clean and sliding smootly. Blocked off the ACV with a plate. Header and presilencer on too with the 02 sensor.
Now, I can see the ports opening, but they don't open until like 6500. I got my old backpressure pipe on but they just don't open soon enough. This is without load....do u think it is different with load. Aren't they supposed to open at like 3500 or something?
Another question...what symptoms would I experience from a bad 02 sensor. I used the same one and extended the wire. I bought one from NAPA that is from a chevy and fits in the slot just incase this one is ****. Is the chevy one capatible or are other 02 sensors different?

One other thing
my previous set up was with a Bonez downpipe and with my catback. Before it was pretty loud and now it's almost the same...but now it is a wild chainsaw after 3500. I guess it is al little loud up to 3500 and want to silence it a bit as it's still a little too loud for my liking The Paceshitter cat-back is straight and hollow through. Should I buy a new cat back or cut off the mufflers and replace them with something. Or does anyone know of something that would allow the car to make a zzzzinging type of sound(best I could describe it)
Thanks
