Red face Can I Reuse This Rotor Housings

I just open a third gen motor and the front housings its scrath.it has 3 scratches along the exhaust port ,if you pass your fingernail over the scrathes your nail gets stuck,my friend wants to rebuild this motor with RA APEX SEALS AND MAZDA SPRINGS and i dont think thats gonna work cause RA SPRINGS take more time to brake in and build compresion in old housings, its there any way to fix this scratches a litltle bit or is the housing junk heres a couple off pics thanks jorge

don't bother with that housing, make a display out of it. though the positioning of that gouging may not affect power much it will damage the new seals in that same location causing a loss of compression, which of course is not a good thing.

how about this one?....

But yea, if you're going to rebuild, there's no reason to do it half assed, why buy new expensive seals when the housing is just going to mess them up?
