Can I remove this from the TB/Thermowax Q's

It's a S4 TII TB.
I took the thermowax block off but there was a Vac line running to the opposite side of the TB.

Can I remove the dash pot and it will be fine? (Seen in C and D)

Also in "B" will that cause a Vac leak?

And "A". DO I have to remove that stuff like in Reted's site or is that part of the butterfly removal part?

That's the system that damps the operation of the #2 secondary throttles and holds them closed when the engine's cold. It's removed along with the throttles and linkages as part of the TB mod.

Yes.

If you remove the thermowax, you need to remove the likage too. That's why Ted's write-up tells you to.

OK so for the vac leak you think I could cut some aluminum up and make a plate over it with some RTV and it'll be fine?

I suppose you could do that, but most just tap it and plug it (as per Ted's write-up).

I'm not removing the secondary throttle plates so tapping it is not an option.

I am ONLY removing the Thermowax and coolant items.
The secondary plates are staying there for a some what normal start up/velocity change.

The #2 secondary plates stay closed until the engine warms up. This has no effect on starting or idling, and is to protect the engine from idiot drivers who thrash cold engines. I hope you're not telling us you need this function...

So why are you removing the thermowax? That will effect your idle.
