I doubt that filling through the drain plug will do much good. Remember that the air in the transmission must be displaced if you are putting in fluid. If you are forcing it in through the drain plug, then the air can't escape.
Have you just tried locking a large pair of Vice Grips on the plug and using a hammer? That ALWAYS takes it off for me, even on 250,000KM + trannies that have never been opened.
Also, see http://www.aaroncake.net/rx-7/transfluid.htm

Stop dicking around and use a breaker bar. failing that, just take a nice 4 way lug wrench, put the large socket end on the end of your ratchet, and pull like a ************. I have gotten everything from cylinder head bolts, to wheel lugs that were on so tight that 2 grown men standing on the ratchet by itself wouldn't free them.
You need torque senor, and you're not going to get it slapping around even the longest ratchets. Get an extension, like a pipeon that bitch, or go out and get a genuine breaker bar.

you say to cap the shifter right? why would you cap it if it wont leak? oh you say it would leak? then fill the thing through it in the first place, dont bother messing around with all these amazing ideas. think about it

the shifter has fluid in it. like 1/2 L of it's own. the tranny is divided up. I don't know if it would leak out or not upside down. it might need to be blocked off (removing shifter first)
I guess you are putting out misinformation......
and you don't need to make a new post for every different sentance.

Why not get the right adapter you need for the breaker bar or go out and buy a breaker bar that works. Try to get the bolt off the right way and your problems are solved
Not trying to sound insulting, just from personal experiance I'd suggest trying that first before I resort to pouring things in uncertainty.
Good luck.
