can i get an estimate?

i was wondering what this will be worth to some rx7 enthusiast's??
the body work isnt the best but it will be a 400WHP monster by the end of this summer...i have tweaking left to do like powdercoating the rims black, tint, finish a little bit of work under the hood(complete wire organization, find a home for the coolant overflow bottle),alignment, springs, new rotors and brakes and a few other small things but once they are done and its tuned...what do you think its worth??
heres a few pics.....
(build up in my sig.)

It seems that the us market is way less, but in canada that would be worth about 7k maybe 8k depending on what you have on it.

6500.

7500 if it's tuned, good compression, and nice Haltech install.

That's what I'de pay to be honest. I just want the damn intercooler setup.

i think the miles are jusy over 100K on the body? id have to check for exact mileage...
yes its a 1987.
the haltech install is going to be re-done this coming summer under the hood. i may find a dif. route to enter the firewall since i dont like how its all above the turbo, of course a turbo blanket is covering it along with tape on the DP but i still dont think its clean enough of a install.

see a lot of the mods, I would not do, and if I was buying the car they would be subtractions so I would give you a lot less than you think it is worth.

Like I like A/C, and if I was removing the power steering I would do it right and get an unpowered 20:1 rack. Same thing with your e-fan and triple gauge pod.

and maybe it is the angle, but the wheels and tires look way too big... what are they 18"? and body work... I hate to do body work, even more so when the car just got painted.

And I can't see the interior

so despite the added power... I'd top out at $3k for the car as shown and described.

im glad im not your car salesman!!
LOL
im not selling it, im just curious as to what its worth....i realize being an old car you cant really get a whole lot out of them esp. with high mileage.
but i have well over 3K under the hood and accesories....
i see many people part there 7 out because they cant get what they put into them...

If you hold on to the car for another 5 years you might be able to get closer to 8K. It all depends on how many 7's die between now and then.

Drifting/young ppl FTW?

Typically take the blue book (www.kbb.com, around $6500 I think), subtract a bunch for any problems you have or anything your removed. Okay, now add 1/4-1/3 the money you spent on your mods. I'll make a semi-wild guess $4,000-$8,000.

Point is no modded out car is worth anything special, and if you sell it you should part out the performance parts first. You need to consider money dumped into your car as gone forever, and make sure you're getting what you want out of it. This also means you can get used parts or cars for cheap if you look around.

I would go a step further with that comment.

No modified car will sell for very much (mainly due to the lack of history and backstory on the builder's skills) but if you buy a PRE-BUILT car from a reputable source: RR, RETed, etc. etc. I'm sure they could ask for more and get it since their work would be trusted more than my work.

Does that make sense?
