Can I beat an evo?

I was wondering what they ran. I had one behind me and had a little run but didn't get to see how much he was pushing it or anything. Thanks.

280HP, AWD, 3300lbs I think ( I may be slightly off on the weight, please correct me if Im wrong) They should be capable of a mid-high 13s run in the 1/4. Are you still running the stock CB? I think you should be able to pull on one with your mods..

I believe they run high 13s stock. Like 13.8/13.9.

seen a slip of a 13.1 from a bone stock evo. Sure it's probably like the 12 second ls1. But these things are going to be solid mid 13 second cars all day long. From a stop...it all depends on who can launch. From a roll it depends on your mods. I wish we could go low 12's on the stock turbo. They get a nice 16G and front mount stock

Maybe from a roll if they are anything like GSXs or WRXs. That is if it is still stock.

hmmm just remembered your mod list. With the hybrid, FMIC, and tuning you should be well into the 12's. Stock for stock they are your bitches. Watch out though, there are already evo's in the 12's with simple boltons and ebc's.

Probably, the top speed on those thing is 155, but it sucks that its redline limited for all of you crazy highway cruisers.

yeah DJChunter he was definately toying with you, me and my buddy went and test drove on over the week end and that car is bad ***. we did a run in the local canyon at 80mph the whole way with ease! you better have your wood screws "ryde or dye" cause an EVO will blow your doors off!!!!!

He has a decently modified T2 with an upgraded turbo, exhaust and a FMIC...I dont think a stock EVO will blow his doors off...

yeah man.. he has a t04 hybrid (good for 310+ at the wheels) a greddy FMIC, enough fuel to turn up the boost a little bit.
i'd say if hes running 12+psi on that nice hybrid, he'd definitely take an EVO from a roll. maybe even take one quartermile.

I'd say high 13's stock... the STI's are rated at 13.5 and the STI rapes the evos.

Evo VIIIs are great cars. I was pissed when i heard the only one at my local dealership was purchased by some dad who gave it to his high school age son. Just like "here you go junior....go have some fun" If i ever see him ill kick him in the nuts.

there are numerous mid 13 second slips already out. I'm starting to think the EVO was very underrated. Check it out for yourself...I can't wait till the STI get's here either though.

by the way....they run 13.9s easy but the transmission doesnt like speed shifts. Its not made as a drag car...but its rally qualified right off the show room floor.
