Can I paint my intercooler, without effecting it's performance?

It may not affect is horribly, but just remember you *are* insulating the metal so it's not going to help any. How much it'll effect it is up to how you go about doing it.

Is it an Aluminum one, it would probly be better to have it anodized.

Clean it off and spray a light coat of silver paint on it. I dont suggest totally coating it, but just keep making swift passes until it appears silver. Shouldnt affect performance much, if at all.

<thread jack> I remember reading about some retard at vwvortex (I think) who powder coated his intercooler. For anyone that doesnt know wtf powder coating is, its basically melting colored plastic onto it. Now thats stupid!
