Can gauges get too hot includes pics

I made a gauge pod in the center vent and was wondering if I should block it off behind the pod. Take a look at the pictures. I still need to trim behind the unit so it recesses further in on the bottom.

There's no need since they won't even be hot to the touch. The lights in them are just too weak.

I had an A/F gauge mounted there for 7 years. No issues.

personally i would take a bad looking center piece over A pillar pods. its too played out and for some reason i just think it looks tacky.

that and cops + thiefs will have an added reason to look into you.

It seems a bit pricey but I think you should contact this person for a three gauge A-pillar pod

will how would you hold it in without glue or epoxy. as for the holes the material forms right back and just looks like a needle was poked in it.

I would attach it on the inside of the trim. that way the trim covers the mounting hardware.

Hell ya. Just use some Tub 'n' Tile caulk to stick those gauges in there. A big ole dollop of the same stuff will hold that pretty little Rotary engine shaped air-freshener on the top of the dash as well.
