camden supercharger?

Anyone ever run one or known anyone that did? There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of information that I can find on them. If you do have any info, would it be worth it to run one on my vert? Are the efficiency/reliability deficits as severe or comparable to a turbo?

That thread above is a very good summary of the years of experience I had with them. If you can get it on a budget, and want to be unique, then they're pretty cool -- but don't expect hardly any performance increase. The roots blower/manifold design just simply doesn't work efficiently enough to create a significant performance increase.

If I (operative word is "if") chose to SC my rx7, I'd go with a centrifugal unit instead of the horrid roots blower. The complexity of such a task would be daunting though and just about as complex, if not more, than just putting in a turbo motor.

Twin screw is where its at, but damn, fitting that thing to a rotary! You might as well build a 4 rotor turbo engine at that point.

Heard good things about the SC sold by Atkins. My buddy has had one in his FB for 3 years now and no issues. He installed it himself following the instructions provided and did it in just under 6hrs. The car is fun to drive acceleration is sweet! What it comes down to is the HP numbers for most people. My 13b half bridge with a modded Nikki carb turned out the same 190 RWHP as his SC 13b with Holley carb.

Seems like their carb kits where the more efficient ones.

The FI kit I don't hear anything about anymore.
