Camber Angle

Does anyone know what the rear camber angle is on the S5 TII? And is the rear camber angle adjustable on our cars?

i think factory its like .3 or something.. im not sure.... but as far as being adjustable they arent. you can make them adjustable by modifiing a bar in the rear suspenion.. they sell them at racingbeat for about 100 bucks..... or you can make your own. its easy

stock is like .5-1 but when you lower it like 2 in. it gets to 2-3 degrees. Way to much. The link between the rear sub frame and the body needs to be shorten. However if a car is lowered a lot even when the sub frame is so high it contacks the diff. housing the camber is still negative.

all of you are wrong.. stock camber is neg. all of you are using pos vaules

stock is like -.5 to -1 degree.

as above lowering it makes it go to like -2, -3. you can buy adjustment rods from most rx7 shops for around $100

I purchased the Mazdatrix individual adjustable links about a month ago. They are really quality hardware, but haven't installed them as of now. The rears are in specs, both camber and toe, but am tired of the slight inside wear of the wide tires, and the tilted "in" look. I'll take care of this on the weekend. After seeing the links, I'm sure that they could be made rather easily.

Just make a habit of cornering very hard when you drive and it will even out the inside wear on the tires.

Also depends on the tire...I have had my sumitomo HTRZ II's on my FC for 15k miles on -2.5 degrees in the rear with a healthy tread block leftover - I'm sure it's worn unevenly but even tires of the same treadwear will wear at different rates on different cars and as I said I still have a ways to go before I hit the wear bars.

I have the independent rear links from mazdatrix. They are the best thing you can get. The springs in the rear do not sag evenly at all so why adjust them with one bar? they need to be done individually.

I cut about 3" out of the rear sublink and threaded it. Then I made a threaded insert to connect the two. It definetaly helped get rid of some of the camber.

Had 3.7 infront on early cars and it actually worn some what even with mad corner driving. Ooops I forgot that is negative number in case our geometry expert here has to goto the positive world of camber, which is pointless unless your are a techie type that thinks it makes you sound smarter.

Damn that is high tech. I just cut it in the car and welded back on until the sub frame is about to hit the diff. and then spray canned it.
